We highly recommend Captain Jim Lynch. We had a fantastic experience fishing with him. We were a little concerned about booking a trip like this online, but he reached out to us to confirm the trip and was ready and waiting when we arrived. Our group was quite new to fishing and had never taken a trip like this. He quickly taught us what we needed to know and got us out on the water catching fish. He sought out multiple fishing spots to make sure we got a great experience and caught plenty of stripers. He was also very attentive when one of us felt a little seasick and took extra time to ensure that our teenager had a really positive experience on the trip. We were impressed by the care he took to ensure that we only kept legal fish, even though we were sad to toss bag a VERY large striper. He was friendly and professional throughout the trip and did a super job cleaning the fish that we took home to eat. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Although fishing on the water today was tough for Captain Jim, he succeeded nevertheless. He took advantage of an opportunity for some high-quality trout and we also returned with some jumbo crabs and lobsters

We all were able to seize at least one small fish. And we were able to load a couple of lobster traps onto the boat. Enjoyable time we spent on that trip. Thanks, Captain Jim!

It's an exciting trip for me and my kids. The children had a good time together catching a total of nine stripers. The captain was outstanding and really went out of her way to ensure that everyone had a fun experience.

My boyfriend and I went on a full-day fishing trip with Captain Jim and it was an incredible trip. He was great at keeping us updated in time and formed a strategy ahead of time of what we ought to anticipate the day of. We caught lots of flounder, haddock, redfish, and sharks! Captain Jim was friendly and a pleasure to work with, providing us with an amazing trip.

Fishing with Captain Jim made for a fantastic fall afternoon. Even though it was relatively late in the season for striper fishing, we were on fish within 5 minutes of leaving the dock! Jim was very keyed in on keeping us on fish and finding new schools when the bite died down. It was clear that Jim is knowledgeable in his craft, and picking his brain on boating and striper fishing taught us a lot! If you are looking for a professional captain in Newburyport who is eager to put you on fish, Captain Jim is your guy!

I’ve known Jim for a handful of years now. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Went out with him today for the first time with a few family members and man he did not disappoint. Put us on 18 fish with a handful that we missed. Everyone caught at least one 37 inches 19 pounds and bigger. The biggest one was 44 inches and 33 pounds. Had one battle with a monster for 25 minutes before the line broke after it showed itself at the boat. Incredible knowledge of the body of water he fishes. Family friendly captain that will put you on fish for sure. Can’t explain how awesome the experience was. Jim is an extremely personable, knowledgeable, and cooperative captain. One of the best all around Captains I have ever met. I’ve known him from Crossroads Bait and Tackle, so he also has that knowledge and experience to boot. My recent trip with him was one of the best I’ve had on the water! I would highly recommend Polaris Fishing Charters, especially to any family looking for a great experience. From catching fish to pulling lobster pots, Captain Jim is your guy!
